The House of Representatives approved Monday a proposal by Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal to revoke Article 430 from the draft parliamentary bylaws. 

Article 430 stipulates that the MP gets a monthly reward worth 15,000 pounds that will increase by 7% annually. 

Bahaa El Din Abu Shukka, who is chairman of the committee that took charge of the drafting the regulations extended thanks to the MPs for approving to revoke the article. 

"We work for the sake of Egypt without any personal interest," he said, affirming that the Parliament works for the sake of Egypt and the Egyptians.
