The House of Representatives Manpower committee rejected during a session under Salah Isa on Thursday the civil service law.
Isa said that the law has some positive articles but other articles were against the rights of civil servants, pointing out the house rejected the law after getting acquainted with viewpoints of people.
But minister of planning Ashraf el Arabi, who attended the session, said the law aimed at introducing reforms to the state machinery and putting an end to unnecessary appointments at the state agencies as 800,000 people were appointed in the state agencies following the January 25 Revolution.
