The House of Representatives rejected in a session Tuesday under Speaker Ali Abdel Aal the resignation tendered by independent MP Kamal Ahmed.

Abdel Aal said the house appreciates the parliamentary experience of Ahmed who used to defend the rights of citizens inside the parliament.

The speaker said the house appealed to MP Ahmed to backtrack on his decision to resign.

Ahmed for his part, said he was unhappy at what happened at Monday session.
