Lebanese Army Command on Sunday arrested Houssam Al-Sabbagh, a wanted figure over many detention warrants, for carrying out terrorist actions along with another person.
Al-Sabbagh was arrested in an army checkpoint in Tripoli. The two detainees were transferred to the concerned authorities and an investigation was opened, the Lebanese Army Command said in a statement.
The arrest of Al-Sabbagh led to some tensions in Tripoli and spread of violence.
