The ruling revolutionaries committee of the Houthi group appointed Mahmoud al Genayed as the director of the Yemeni president office in succession of Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak who was forced to leave the country.
The committee also issued resolutions appointing four employees at the president's office.
Yemen has been in turmoil since the Houthis put president Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi under house arrest one week ago.
