Scores of members of the Yemeni Shiite Houthi group surrounded the house of Yemeni Minister of Defense Mahmoud Al Subaihi in Sanaa in a bid to storm it, eyewitnesses said.
Dozens of the group members rallied two days earlier near the minister's house and tried on Saturday to storm it, sources said.
Meantime, number of tribesmen and military personnel arrived to the house to show solidarity against the Houthis.
