Members of the People's Committees affiliated to the Houthis dispersed a protest in the central Yemeni province of Eb staged by hundreds of a youth movement against the Shiaa militia group.
The militia seized the capital Sanaa in September and ousted the government in a move widely denounced as a coup.
The Houthis fired shots in the air to scatter the protesters who called for releasing the secretary general of the youth movement who was kidnapped by armed Houthis yesterday.
