Civil defense forces contained a huge fire that broke out at a furniture workshop in a four-storey building in Qalyoub Monday.
Qalubiya Security Director General Mahmoud Yousri said he had received a report on the fire and ordered firefighters to rush to the scene to stop the fire from extending to neighboring buildings.
No injuries or deaths were reported as a result of the fire.
The workshop owner attributed the fire to a short circuit.
The prosecution was notified to launch a probe into the accident.
