The Arab League (AL) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on Monday said humanitarian visits would be paid soon to Syria's neighboring countries (Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq), along with Germany to follow up situation of the Syrian refugees there.

In a joint press conference between Special Envoy of the Arab League Secretary General on Humanitarian Affairs and Relief Hussa bint Khalifa Al Thani and UNHCR Regional Representative Elizabeth Tan, the two sides urged the international community to provide more humanitarian and relief support to Yemeni and Somali refugees in Djibouti.

Tan said registered refugees in Djibouti exceeded 18,000 people refugees, including 12,000 Somalis and 2,000 Yemenis.

She described situation in Yemen as 'disastrous', adding that political solution to the Yemeni crisis is the optimal way for the return of Yemeni refugees to their homes.
