Houthi militants

Houthi militants have fled the western and northern parts of Marib after the government troops raided their hotbeds.

The Yemeni forces were backed by personnel of the Saudi-led Arab coalition, Sky News TV channel reported on Sunday.

The Yemeni presidency said it will not negotiate with the Houthis unless they adopt the UNSC resolution no. 2216, which supports President ِAbd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and urges Houthi fighters to drop their weapons.

Yemen has been engulfed in conflicts between Houthis and the government forces since early 2015.

In late March, a Saudi-led coalition of Arab states began launching airstrikes against Houthi positions in Yemen at the request of Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.
