Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar said that the country's development requires working hard and upholding the values of citizenship.
During a meeting with a number of young police officers, he pointed out at the policemen and army forces' sacrifices for the homeland.
He added that Egypt's development is in need of unifying the society around the state institutions, especially to surpass the ongoing challenges.
During the meeting, the minister and the police officers observed a moment of silence in memory of the martyred police and Armed Forces personnel.
The minister underlined that security is one of the main pillars required to build and develop the society.
He also pointed out that the policemen shoulder the responsibility of the nation and citizens, stressing that they are able to shoulder it and to face all the current challenges and plots that aim to destabilize the country.
Meanwhile, the minister said the ministry will continue to support the injured policemen and the families of the killed policemen.
He also listened to the young officers' visions and proposals that aim to enhance and develop the executive performance of the ministry and directed to study them and to implement some of them.
