Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar Monday inspected the scene of the explosion that targeted the motorcade of Public Prosecutor Hisham Barakat in Heliopolis earlier in the day.

He ordered the formation of an expanded investigation team to identify and quickly arrest the perpetrators.

A bomb went off as the car of Barakat was passing on Moustafa Mokhtar Street Monday morning.

Two policemen and a civilian were also wounded in the attack.
