Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim made a surprise visit on Thursday to inspect security services in the region surrounding the Suez Canal.
The minister was accompanied by Suez security chief Tarek el-Gazar.
Suez security bodies combed farms and the mountainous area surrounding the tunnel of Ahmed Hamdi, which is adjacent to North Sinai, to prevent the escape of terrorists.
