Minister of Interior General Magdy Abdel Ghafar asserted that the police were seeking to satisfy citizens and work within an interactive frame based on trust and mutual respect between police and citizens.
The minister's remarks came in his address, at the opening of a symposium on "Development of Security Performance", delivered on his behalf by Assistant Interior Minister and Head of the Police Academy General General Amr el Assar, at the Police Academy in Cairo.
Assar said the Ministry of Interior was committed to developing the security system and outlining a practical vision for the security performance to achieve the aspirations of the Egyptian people towards having an honorable life.
He pointed out to challenges facing the police which aim at enabling citizens to enjoy all rights guaranteed to them by law and the constitution, along with offering them better services and maintaining security and stability at the same time.
The symposium aims at outlining the practical basics for promoting security performance in view of current changes. The event is attended by a galaxy of experts specialized in the strategic planning and human development as well as information system cadres.
