The Interior Ministry has denied Amnesty International (AI) claims that it tortured a boy arrested for carrying out quality operations for the Muslim Brotherhood group.

The AI says that 14-year-old Mazen Mohamed Abdallah was raped in detention by Egyptian National Security agents and was given electric shocks on his genitals.

In a statement Wednesday, the Interior Ministry said the boy was examined by the forensic department, whose report refuted all such claims. The boy was not tortured, the statement asserted.
