The official of the security information center at the Ministry of Interior dismissed reports published by some news websites on preventing the convocation of a symposium by writer Alaa Al Aswani in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria.

In a statement, the center said that the news reports are bare of truth, calling on all media outlets to be accurate in their news and contact the Ministry to make sure of the reports.

The statement asserted the Ministry's keenness on communicating with media outlets to clarify the facts to the public opinion.
