The Interior Ministry's Prisons Sector approved on Thursday the transfer of 22 inmates to prisons near their families' homes.

This comes within the ministry's efforts to take into account the inmates' social and humanitarian conditions.

Earlier, the Prisons Sector received several pleas from inmates to move them to prisons near their families' residences.
