The Security Media Center officer said committees formed upon directives by Interior Minister Magdi Abdel Ghaffar to contact the National Human Rights Council to probe complaints of missing citizens continue to carry out their mission.

The committee has so far probed 19 new cases bringing the number of cases referred to the council to 130, a statement released by the ministry on Sunday said.

The ministry continues to cooperate with the council to examine the rest of the cases in abidance by its national duty toward the citizens, the statement added.
