Prime Minister of Iraq Haider Abadi vowed punishment for any corrupt persons.
Addressing a national reconciliation conference in Baghdad on Wednesday, the premier "I have given directives to prosecute those (corrupt) people."
He was commenting on the kidnap of Turkish workers, in a case he blamed "corrupt" individuals for it.
As for anti-graft protests in the capital, Abadi said "there is respect from the protesters to security bodies.
