The joint Iraqi forces repelled an attack by the Daesh militant group in Ramadi, Anbar governorate, early Wednesday.

The Iraqi forces arrested 16 terrorists in central Ramadi.

Security and local sources said the terrorists were arrested during raids on Aziziya and Qatanah districts in Ramadi with arms and ammunition in their possession.

In Baghdad, sound bombs went off at the roadside in Haseiniya district in northern the capital. The security forces cordoned off the scene of the blast and combed the area.
