Iraqi forces killed 14 Daesh militants in a security campaign in the governorates of Salahuddin and Anbar.

A statement issued by the Iraqi Ministry of Defense Thursday said 12 explosive charges and three booby-trapped houses were defused in Sayed Gharib area in Anbar.

Iraq has been in turmoil since the ouster of Saddam Hussein during the US invasion of the country nearly 13 years ago.
