The joint Iraqi forces on Wednesday killed 57 terrorist elements of Daesh group during an operation to liberate Tikrit from the militant group.
Iraqi local and security forces said the Iraqi airplanes shelled Daesh positions near Beji, leaving three vehicles destroyed.
The sources said the Iraqi troops are progressing on several axes in Tikrit and managed, with the support of troops of Al Hashd Al Shaabi (popular mobilization committees), to reach the military hospital in Al Qadesiya district and raise the Iraqi flag on it.
