Iraqi Security forces

Iraqi forces liberated on Sunday three villages on the outskirts of Karma city in central Iraq from the Daesh terrorist group.

Dozens of the terrorist group were killed in the face-off, while others escaped the scene.

A security source said Daesh militants attacked Baiji oil refinery earlier in the day in an attempt to regain control but their plot was foiled.

"On Saturday night, the US-led military coalition launched airstrikes against Daesh sites in Khazer village, leaving 16 terrorists killed," the source added.
