The Iraqi troops said they liberated an area in Al Baghdadi district western Ramadi from Daesh, a local television channel reported.

"Jebaa area is now under the control of the Iraqi army," the television said.

It said 27 militants from Daesh have been killed and more than ten rocket launchers have been destroyed in the operation.

The Iraqi forces got an air support from the US-led coalition against Daesh.
