Baghdad - MENA
Iraqi forces liberated on Wednesday the western part of Ramadi from Daesh group.
The liberated area etches over nine kilometers in western Ramadi, Babylon Police Chief Riad al Khikany said.
Up to 30 Daesh militants were killed in the crackdown, he added.
Meanwhile, a booby-trapped vehicle and house went off in Baiji city, killing and wounding 20 security men.
Iraqi Prime Minister Heidar Abbadi had announced on May 26 the start of the liberation operation of Anbar from Daesh.
Daesh terrorist group, with members from several Western countries, controls large swathes of Iraq and Syria, and has been carrying out horrific acts of violence such as public decapitations and crucifixions.
