Daesh militants

A number of hotbeds of the terrorist group Daesh have been destroyed and militants have been expelled from 97 areas in Salahuddin province, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said Wednesday.
This comes as part of a military operation to liberate Salahuddin from Daesh.
Interior Minister Mohammed Salem al Ghabban arrived with a combat force in the city of Samaraa earlier today to support security troops fighting terrorists in Salahuddin, northern Iraq.
He held a meeting with police chiefs upon arrival in Samaraa.
The first phase of the military operation has resulted in destroying hotbeds of the enemy and expelling them from 97 areas of Salahuddin, Ittihadiya police chief Lieutenant General Raed Shaker Judeh told Ghabban.
Dozens of terrorists have also been killed, Judeh added.
