Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi chaired a meeting of the national security council.

Present at the meeting were Minister of Defense Khaled Al-Obaidi, Minister of Interior Mohamed Salem and a raft of security and military commander.

The meeting tackled the progress of military operations in Al-Anbar.
