Iraqi PM Haider al-Abadi

Iraqi Prime Minister and General Commander of the Iraqi Armed Forces Haider al-Abadi issued a decision appointing three military leaders, two of them instead of the two commanders who were killed on Thursday in a suicide bombing in the northern sector of Ramadi city, capital of Anbar province.

Abadi appointed Brigadier, Majid Mohammed Jassim al-Fatlawi as the leader of the eighth brigade.

He also ordered to appoint Maj. Gen. Ismail Shihab Kamel as deputy commander of Anbar operations and commander of the northern axis, as well as Brigadier General, Mahmoud al-Falahi as leader of the tenth brigade.

Kamel and al-Falahi have been appointed by Abadi to replace the deputy commander of Anbar Operations Maj. Gen. Abdul-Rahman Abu Rageef and division commander of the tenth Brigadier General, Safeen Abdul Majid, as the latter two were killed on Thursday as well as a number of officers and soldiers in the explosion of a number of car bombs driven by suicide bombers from ISIS terrorists in "Albu Aatha" area northern Ramadi.
