Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abbadi today received a telephone call from his Australian counterpart Tony Abbot .
Over the phone, the two sides discussed ways of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries ,notably the political and security situation in Iraq and the region. They reviewed efforts being exerted to combat Daesh terrorist group and to increase number of Australian trainers for the training of Iraqi forces with emphasis on the need to preserve Iraq's sovereignty.
