Iraqi Security forces, backed by the Shiite Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi Militia (Popular Mobilization Militia), have liberated Al Hai Al Askari district in central Baiji, Salaheddin governorate, from the hands of the terrorist Daesh group.
The security forces and the militia have advanced in the southern and northern axes of the governorate killing dozens of terrorists and destroying their arms, according to Salaheddin Municipality Council's security committee member Ali al Dejeli in statements on Sunday.
Military operations against Daesh are ongoing in Baiji along with other operations on the southern axis of al Dejel, he added.
Meantime, Daesh elements kidnapped 35 IRaqis from al Sakallaweya in Anbar, western Iraq.
