Iraqi army warplanes shelled a group of Daesh militants in an area between Anbar and Salaheddin governorates, northwester Iraq, killing and injuring dozens of them.
An army officer was killed in a bomb explosion in Tikrit, Salaheddin on Tuesday, according to Iraqi local and security sources.
A roadside bomb in Tikrit detonated killing an Iraqi anti-terror officer, the sources said, asserting the military command's keenness on moving forward to avoid losses among Iraqi troops besieging the city.
