Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi Sunday denied news reports that Italy will deploy ground troops in Libya or suggest any military plans on the current situation there.

He described the media reports as being groundless, saying the situation in Libya is very complicated.

Italy could intervene in Libya after forming a UN-sponsored national unity government in Libya that will seek an international assistance to fight Daesh then a vote would be held at the Italian parliament on Rome intervention.
