A Jewish extremist on Tuesday vandalized a cross at the Dormition Abbey church in East Jerusalem (al Quds), where Christian tradition says the Virgin Mary died, ABC News reported.
The 21-year-old jumped over a fence into the grounds of the Dormition Abbey on Tuesday and damaged a cross and a bench before a security guard apprehended him and called police.
Israeli police arrested the aggressor.
