The joint Iraqi forces raided al Alam district in Salahuddin province and started to liberate it from Daesh terrorist group on Saturday.
Clashes between Iraqi forces and the militant group have been ongoing since June 2014 when the armed group seized Mosul and other territories in Iraq.
