Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh said that the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, has achieved comprehensive reforms in political, social and economic spheres.
In remarks during a meeting with Council of Arab Economic Unity Secretary General, Mohammad Al-Rabie, and the accompanying delegation including businessmen representing the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, the Lower House Speaker said that many legislation which are stimulus for investment have been achieved, including laws governing renewable energy and investments.
Tarawneh pointed out that a medical city in the Kingdom is a feasible project due to the well qualified Jordanian human resources, in addition to low cost of medical care in Jordan compared to other countries.
He said the House of Representatives will remain in contact and will cooperate with the Arab Economic Unity Council to overcome any difficulties or obstacles that may stand in the way of investors, stressing that Jordan pays much attention to Arab investments.
Al-Rabie stressed the importance of small and medium industries in various Arab countries that represent "the heritage of our civilization and historical and religious industries" in addition to their role in supporting tourism.
