Jordanian border guards foiled Wednesday night an infiltration attempt by three persons who tried to cross the borders from Syria into Jordan, an official source at the general command of the Jordanian armed forces said in a statement.
The infiltrators were injured in a fire exchange and were taken to a nearby medical center to receive necessary medical attention before being handed over to the authorities, the source added according to the official Petra news agency.
Meanwhile, the source said 228 Syrian refugees crossed borders into Jordan, including 12 injured who were transferred to hospitals near the border.
