Jordan condemned as a cowardly and terrorist an attack that targeted a museum in the capital Tunis Wednesday and claimed the lives of a number of innocent people, according to Petra News Agency.
Minister of State for Media Affairs, Mohammad Momani, voiced the Jordanian government's denunciation of the attack, which left 19 people dead, and said Jordan stands by Tunisia against extremism and terrorism.
He reiterated Jordan's firm position against terrorism and violence in all forms, manifestations, motives and sources, and called for concerted international efforts to fight this scourge, which poses a major threat to international peace and security.
He said that the fight against extremist ideology and terrorist organizations is the responsibility of all countries of the world, particularly Arab and Muslim countries.
Momani extended condolences to the government and people of Tunisia and the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
