Jordan has condemned a terrorist attack, which was foiled Wednesday in the vicinity of the Karnak Temple in Luxor.

In a statement Thursday, Jordan's government spokesman Mohammed al-Momani praised the vigilance of the Egyptian policemen, who thwarted this terrorist plot.

He stressed his country's support for the Egyptian government in its fight against extremism.

On Wednesday, five people, including two policemen, were hurt in an attack at the historic site of Karnak, in Luxor.
