A total of 122 Syrian refugees from various age groups, entered Jordan through various crossing points during the past 48 hours, the kingdom's Armed Forces said in a statement Thursday.

Border guards provided the refugees with necessary aid before transferring them to refugee camps.

The United Nations estimates the number of Syrians who fled to the kingdom since the start of unrest at home mid March of 2011 at 630,000 but the Jordanian authorities say they have almost 1.4 million Syrians
