Syrian refugees

Jordan's border guards received during the last 72 hours 187 Syrian refugees of different ages, the Morale Guidance Directorate affiliated with the Jordanian Armed Forces said in a statement on Sunday.

The Jordanian coast guards secured the refugees and led them to camps and shelters prepared to receive them, the statement said, adding that they were offered medical and health care.

Jordan is one of the highest neighboring countries to receive Syrian refugees since the outbreak of the crisis in the Arab country.

Jordan is giving shelter to more than 630,000 Syrians who have fled four years of conflict in their country, and the number grows every day.

Syria has witnessed mass protests that turned into military confrontations against the regime of President Bashar Al Assad, with scores of thousands of people fleeing to nearby countries.
