Syrian refugees

A total of 304 Syrian refugees of different age groups entered Jordan over the past 24 hours, the Jordanian Armed Forces said on Monday.

They were placed at shelters and camps set up to receive them.

Medical services and necessary first aid for emergency cases were provided.

In a separate development, some 200 refugees are reportedly flocking daily to the border area between Jordan and Syria, sources revealed to the Jordanian newspaper al Ghad.

The Arab country is giving shelter to more than 700,000 Syrian refugees, who have been streaming into Jordan since the beginning of the Syrian crisis in March 2011, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
