Amman - MENA
Jordan's border guards received during the last 48 hours 69 Syrian refugees from different ages, the Moral Guidance Directorate affiliated to the Jordanian Armed Forces said on Wednesday.
The border guards provided the refugees with the necessary humanitarian aid and their basic needs and moved them to a refugee camp, said a statement by the directorate.
Jordan is one of the highest neighboring countries to receive Syrian refugees since the outbreak of the crisis in the Arab country.
Jordan is giving shelter to more than 630,000 Syrians who have fled two years of conflict in their country, and the number grows every day.
Syria has witnessed mass protests that turned into military confrontations against the regime of President Bashar al Assad, with scores of thousands of people fleeing to nearby countries.
