Amman - MENA
The Jordanian government does not accept any skepticism about its supportive stance toward the Syrian people, State Minister for Media Affairs and Communication Mohamed al Momni told MENA Friday.
Al Momni, who is also the Jordanian government spokesman, reiterated his country's support for a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
He warned against what he called an "accusatory rhetoric" of Damascus which has nothing to do with reality.
Al Momni stressed that Syria has to devote its efforts to reach a political compromise and stop the bloodshed instead of leveling charges against other countries.
Failure to convince Syrians to sit around the negotiating table is the main reason behind the Syrian crisis and not anything else, al Momni added.
Syria's Permanent Representative to the UN Bashar al Jaafari accused Wednesday Jordan of training militants of Al Nusra Front, Fatah and Yarmuk armies to fight the Syrian regime, saying that 80,000 fighters reportedly crossed into Syria via the Turkish and Jordanian borders.
