Jordan vowed a harsh response to the savage killing of pilot Moaz Kasasbeh by Daesh militants but at the same time dismissed any involvement in a ground war.
"We will avenge the killing of Kasasbeh but not through a ground war," spokesman for the government Mohamed Mo'omani told MENA.
About the EU criticism of the kingdom for executing two Iraqi militants in avenge for the murder of Kasasbeh, he said Jordan is a state of law and it has put into effect death rulings issued against them by official courts.
Jordan executed at dawn of Wednesday Iraqi militants Sajida al Rishawi and Ziad Karbouli hours after Daesh released a videotape showing Kasasbeh while being burnt alive.
