Jordan warned on Tuesday the Israeli government against the storming of al Aqsa mosque.

A large number of Palestinians, including children, sustained injuries after Israeli occupation forces stormed one of the mosque's gates earlier in the day.

Jordanian Information Minister Mohammad Al Momani said the Israelis' storming of al Aqsa mosque is an illegal and hostile act that hurts the feelings of Muslims all over the world.

The Jordanian government does its best to protect the Palestinian Islamic holy sites against the Israeli violations, he said.
