A Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) pilot was killed and another injured after their plane crashed early Thursday during a training mission, according to an army statement.

The Petra news agency quoted a statement of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), which identified the killed pilot as Major Muath Mohammad Ali Bani and the injured as Captain Asharaf Fayez Sulaiman Tafour.

The statement mourned the pilot and offered deepest condolences to his family.
