Jordanian King Abdullah II on Tuesday sent a cable of congratulations to Tunisian President-elect Beji Caid Essebsi, who won Tunisia's first free presidential elections.
Abdullah II stressed Jordan's keenness on further boosting ties with Tunisia at all levels "to achieve the common interests of the two countries," a Royal Hashemite Court statement said.
The king also affirmed his keenness to continue consultations on current issues, thus contributing towards activating Arab cooperation in order to overcome the obstacles faced by the Arab and Islamic nation.
