Jordanian King Abdullah II discussed Sunday with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas efforts to revive the peace process, according to a statement issued by the Jordanian Royal Court.
During the meeting, King Abdullah II affirmed that Jordan will continue to exert efforts and maintain coordination with the various regional and international parties to overcome all the difficulties hindering the launch of peace negotiations.
Jordan will always stand by the Palestinian nation, he affirmed, adding that his country rejects the Israeli repeated attacks on the holy sites in Al Quds.
Abbas, for his part, briefed the Jordanian king on the outcome of his meetings with the various world leaders in order to revive the peace process in a way which will meet the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian nation.
He also appreciated efforts exerted by Jordan under King Abdullah II in order to support the Palestinian people and their just cause.
