Meeting

His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Sunday, received His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Ruler's Representative in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Hamdan, who is also President of the UAE Red Crescent Authority, conveyed to the King the greetings of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the meeting, which took place at Basman Palace, His Majesty emphasised the brotherly relations between Jordan and the UAE, as well as his keenness to develop them in various sectors.
At the meeting, King Abdullah and Sheikh Hamdan reviewed the types of cooperation between the two countries, and His Majesty expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s stance and support of Jordan in various fields, especially enabling the Kingdom in hosting Syrian refugees and providing various services to them.
Sheikh Hamdan expressed his country's keenness to continue the development of bilateral relations, upgrade them to the highest levels and maintain coordination with the Kingdom "in a manner that serves their common interests", while praising Jordan’s efforts in hosting Syrian refugees.
He also expressed his appreciation for the King's role in serving pan-Arab and Islamic issues, achieving security and stability in the region and addressing the various challenges the country confronts.
