Minister of Planning Ibrahim Saif

The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Saif, briefed the Lower House's finance committee about the prominent features of the ten-year government plan (Jordan Vision 2025).
Saif said the government has put in place a bunch of procedures which contribute towards promoting national economy's pace, advancing business and investment environment and providing aid for small and medium companies which are considered a key factor in setting up the plan.
The Planning Minister assured that plans and executive working programs will be put in place, comprising many initiatives for the next ten years and adapted in terms of content of major projects, legislative reforms and training programs.
The plan also includes capacity building to improve the skills and capabilities of the Jordanian citizens in public and private sectors, as these plans will have measurable indicators to assess performance and thus facilitate follow-up implementation, Saif added.
Saif said the gross domestic product (GDP) has reached 22 billion Dinars, while the government's revenues stood at 4 billion Dinars, adding that imports volume has hit 14 billion Dinars of our GDP.
